Mark Langeveld

Mark is a passionate sportsman with a long-standing involvement in both playing and coaching sport. Before his injury, he played squash regularly and coached his son’s junior football team.

Mark experienced a severe intervertebral disc herniation, which required rehabilitation at specialist spinal unit Stoke Mandeville,. Following discharge, Mark began exploring new ways to stay active and competitive through sport.

This led him to wheelchair tennis, which he took to quickly and has since pursued to a high standard. Mark continues to play at a competitive level and has represented the sport at major venues, including Wimbledon.

Mark supports clients we refer to him for wheelchair tennis coaching and helps them develop confidence, skill and independence through sport. Mark is also actively involved in our inclusive climbing wall sessions and other sporting events, supporting participants of varying ages and abilities.

Mark brings lived experience, coaching knowledge and a practical understanding of inclusive sport, helping bridge the gap between rehabilitation and long-term participation in physical activity.
